The Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies meet Monday in NBA action at the FedExForum.
The Oklahoma City Thunder could use a win after losing four of their last five games. The Oklahoma City Thunder are averaging 114.5 points on 45.4 percent shooting and allowing 111.1 points on 45.9 percent shooting. Paul George is averaging 28.2 points and 8.1 rebounds while Russell Westbrook is averaging 23.1 points and 10.4 assists. Dennis Schroder is the third double-digit scorer and Steven Adams is grabbing 9.5 rebounds. The Oklahoma City Thunder are shooting 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and 71.3 percent from the free throw line. The Oklahoma City Thunder are allowing 35.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 48.1 rebounds per game. The Oklahoma City Thunder have split their last six road games.
The Memphis Grizzlies also need a win after losing four of their last five games. The Memphis Grizzlies are averaging 102.6 points on 45.1 percent shooting and allowing 105.2 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Mike Conley is averaging 20.9 points and 6.4 assists while Jonas Valanciunas is averaging 19.4 points and 9.9 rebounds. Avery Bradley is the third double-digit scorer and Jaren Jackson Jr. is grabbing 4.7 rebounds. The Memphis Grizzlies are shooting 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free throw line. The Memphis Grizzlies are allowing 36.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.3 rebounds per game. The Memphis Grizzlies have won five of their last seven home games.
The Thunder are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games playing on 2 days rest, 2-9 ATS in their last 11 vs. Western Conference and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The favorite is 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings and the home team is 13-5 ATS in the last 18 meetings. The under is 10-4-1 in Thunder last 15 overall. The over is 4-1 in Grizzlies last 5 overall.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been impressive ATS as of late and have played their best ball at home where they've won five of their last seven games. The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to be hit or miss and seem to struggle putting teams away, even with the playoffs right around the corner. However, the Thunder have won each of the last nine games against the Grizzlies and most of those games weren't that competitive. The Grizzlies usually have a hard time containing Westbrook, and the Thunder usually get whatever they want offensively. While struggling, OKC did get back on track with a big road win over the Raptors, and if the Thunder bring that intensity here, they should have little trouble against a non-playoff team. I'll lay the reasonable chalk.
