The Atlanta Hawks travel to Florida to take on the Miami Heat in a Tuesday night game.  The Hawks enter this contest with a record of (2-1).  The Hawks are coming off a nail biting 105-103 loss at home to the 76ers.  The Miami Heat enter with an identical record at (2-1) thus far.  The Heat took the loss in their last game, falling on the road to the Timberwolves 116-109.

Trae Young led all Hawks in scoring with 25 points in the loss.  Young was 7 of 20 from the floor, while also dishing out 9 assists.  John Collins chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds in the game.  DeAndre Hunter came one rebound shy of a double-double.  Hunter finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds.  The Hawks as a team shot 43% from the floor on 23 assists.  Atlanta was able to get 12 steals defensively.

The Heat had 3 players that finished with over 20 points in the road loss to the Timberwolves.  The Heat were led by Kendrick Nunn with 25 points on 9 of 17 shooting.  Justice Winslow was also able to net 20 points in 43 minutes of game time.  Duncan Robinson came off the bench and totaled 21 points.  Miami shot 49% from the floor, while connecting on 15 of their 36 3 point attempts.  Miami committed 21 turnovers on the night.

The Hawks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs the Heat.

The under is 3-0 in Hawks games this season.

The Heat are 2-0-1 ATS this season.

The over is 3-0 in Heat games this season.

The over is 6-1 in the Heat's last 7 games.

The Hawks have started the season with a perfect 3-0 record ATS.   It's the Hawks defense that has been more sound out of the two.  Atlanta is giving up the 6th fewest points per game, averaging 101 per game.  Miami ranks 8th in 3 pointer's made on offense, while the Hawks rank 3rd in giving up the fewest 3's per game.  I like what the Hawks have done this year and it has helped with the tremendous play of Young.  However, the Heat were able to put up a considerable amount of points during the 2 game absence of Jimmy Butler.  Butler is back for this game and will only help the offense.  This game will be close but the Heat pull away in the 4th quarter.  Final score prediction, Heat win and cover 118-109.
