James Harden and the Houston Rockets pay a visit to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum on Tuesday night.
The Houston Rockets have been on fire lately as they’ve won 13 of their last 15 games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after blowing past the Pelicans in a 113-90 road win on Sunday. James Harden led the team with 28 points and four assists, Eric Gordon added 18 points while Chris Paul chipped in with 10 points, 13 assists and five steals. As a team, the Rockets shot 48 percent from the field and 21 of 49 from the 3-point line as they cruised to victory after a dominant first half where they outscored the Pelicans by 63-44 which allowed them to rest their starters early. With the easy win, Houston improved to 47-27 overall and 20-17 on the road which is good for third place in the Western Conference standings.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in fine form themselves as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games and they will be looking to stay hot after destroying the lowly Cavaliers in a 127-105 home win on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, Khris Middleton and George Hill each scored 17 points while Robin Lopez chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Bucks shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 15 of 41 from the 3-point line as they took a 13-point lead going into halftime, before making it a blowout in the fourth quarter where they poured in 37 points. With the easy win, Milwaukee improved to 55-19 on the season and 30-6 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Rockets are 5-0 ATS in their last five against the Eastern Conference, 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight road games and the Rockets are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Bucks are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 17-6 ATS in their last 23 games following a win of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
These two teams last met on Jan 9 and it was the Bucks who took the 116-109 road win, so the Rockets will be looking for revenge in this one. The Bucks are a little shorthanded for this one as Malcolm Brogdon, Pau Gasol and Tony Snell all out, so I’m leaning towards the Rockets with the points in what should be a close one.
