The Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks duke it out at the Fiserv Forum on Monday night.
The Toronto Raptors will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games after beating the Mavericks by 116-107 on Friday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Kyle Lowry added 20 points with 12 assists while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 17 points in 22 minutes of action. As a team, the Raptors shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 27 from the three-point line as they really had to battle in the end despite storming out of the gates to lead by as many as 17 points late in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have also started their season with six wins on the trot and they will be looking to stay hot after cruising past the Magic in a 113-91 home win on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 21 points in just 19 minutes of action, Khris Middleton added 18 points while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 50 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the three-point line but their defense was really the key to the win as they held the Magic to just 32 percent shooting from the field and 10 of 43 shooting from beyond the arc.
Looking at the betting trends, the Raptors are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on two days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600. The Bucks are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five home games, 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games following a win of more than 10 points and 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Milwaukee, the road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the Raptors are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Milwaukee.
The Raptors and the Bucks have been the benchmark of the Eastern Conference at this early stage of the season and it’s no surprise the bookies have them so evenly matched on paper. The Raptors hold the edge in the betting trends as they have covered in seven of the last nine meetings in Milwaukee, but I think there’s a bit of value with the Bucks as home underdogs here. This is certainly a coin flip of a game, but I’m leaning towards the Bucks to stay undefeated with a win at home in this one.
