The New Orleans Pelicans look for another home victory to build on their impressive 4-0 start to the season. The New Orleans Pelicans are averaging 132 points on 51.7 percent shooting and allowing 116.7 points on 47.3 percent shooting. Anthony Davis is averaging 30.3 points and 13 rebounds while Nikola Mirotic is averaging 28 points and 10.3 rebounds. The Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Southwest. The Pelicans are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 0 days rest, 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Jazz are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in New Orleans, 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the road team is 10-4-3 ATS in the last 17 meetings. The over is 26-12 in Pelicans last 38 home games and the under is 13-6 in Jazz last 19 games playing on 2 days rest.
The Utah Jazz have won seven of the last eight meetings against the New Orleans Pelicans, and they're catching the Pels on the end of a back to back. There's good reason to consider the Jazz here in a near toss-up matchup. However, the Pelicans have been so explosive offensively, have the best player on the floor and have scoring depth they haven't had in years past, to the point I'm not trying to bet against them at home. We know Davis is going to get his, but when all of the starters are dropping double-digit points and Randle is giving great minutes off the bench, the Pelicans are a dangrous team that's growing on me. I'm backing New Orleans.
