The Timberwolves are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win, 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 3 or more days rest and 6-13 ATS in their last 19 Friday games. The Knicks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Friday games, 3-14 ATS in their last 17 home games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The over is 11-3 in Timberwolves last 14 road games. The under is 10-3 in Knicks last 13 overall. The Timberwolves are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
I've tried to make a case for the New York Knicks in the underdog role a lot this season only to get burned. The bottom line is the Knicks are 24-33-1 ATS this season and 3-11 ATS when an underdog of less than seven points. Even with those numbers, I'm not laying decent sized chalk with the Minnesota Timberwolves, a team that doesn't play defense and finds themselves in dog fights against subpar teams. I'll take the over. The over has cashed in 21 of the Timberwolves last 28 games and that trend will continue with the lack of effort they play on the defensive side. The over feels like the safer play than getting involved with the side and a tricky number between two below average teams.
