The Milwaukee Bucks pay a visit to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in scintillating form as they’ve won 13 of their last 15 games and they will be gunning for a seventh straight victory after taking down the Hornets in a 108-99 home win on Friday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 34 points, 14 rebounds and three assists, Malcolm Brogdon added 19 points, Eric Bledsoe scored 18 points while Khris Middleton chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 46 percent from the field and just six of 31 from the 3-point line trailed for most of the game, falling behind by as many as 14 points late in the third quarter before they outscored the Hornets by 32-12 in the fourth quarter. With the comeback win, Milwaukee improved to 35-12 overall and 22-4 at home.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder were in a bit of a rut when they lost five of six games, but they look to have turned the corner with four straight wins after taking down the shorthanded Pelicans in a 122-116 home win on Thursday. Russell Westbrook led the team with a triple-double of 23 points with 17 rebounds and 16 assists, Paul George added 23 points with 11 rebounds and seven assists while Steven Adams chipped in with 20 points and 13 rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 32 from the 3-point line as they dominated the Pelicans to lead by as many as 22 points early in the third quarter before the Pelicans made a run in the fourth quarter to keep the final scores respectable. With the win, Oklahoma City improved to 30-18 overall and 16-7 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600 and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall. The Thunder are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 42-20-3 ATS in their last 65 home games against a team with a road record above .600.
Head to head, the under is 5-0 in the last five meetings, the favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the Bucks are 5-12 ATS in the last 17 meetings in Oklahoma City.
The Bucks have been the benchmark of the Eastern Conference for a while now and they’re in great form as they’ve won 13 of their last 15 games. The Thunder have fallen off the pace lately but they look to be heating up again with four straight wins. The Bucks are a solid 4-1-1 ATS in their last six road games, but I’m sticking with the Thunder at home in what is basically a pick ‘em.
