The Miami Heat travel to Arizona to take on the Phoenix, Suns.  The Heat are (5-2) on the season and most recently coming off a 190-89 road loss to the Denver Nuggets.  The Suns are also (5-2) thus far and last time out, lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 114-109.

The Heat were guided offensively by Jimmy Butler.  Butler struggled shooting the ball, going 3 0f 12, but did make 10 of his 12 free throws, totaling 16 points and 4 assists. Kendrick Nunn added 11 points in the loss.  The Heat shot 36% as a team and 31% from 3 point range.  The Heat did have an assist to turnover ratio of 23 to 15.  Despite losing by 20 points, the Heat forced 20 turnovers.  The Heat trailed by as many as 27 points in the game.

The Suns were going to have to play perfect basketball, if they wanted to hand the 76ers their first loss of the season.  That is exactly what the Suns did.  Devon Booker led the charge for the Suns, shooting 15 of 19 from the floor and making all 7 of his free throw attempts.  Booker totaled 40 points and 3 assists in the win.  Ricky Rubio notched a double-double in the game, contributing 21 points and 10 assists.  The difference in the game was the free throw shooting.  The Suns made 21 of 27 (77%), while the 76ers made just 12 of 20 (60%).

Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games.

Suns are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

The under is 5-2 in the Suns last 7 games.

Both teams this year have been great against the spread.  The Suns have had the edge offensively, averaging 115 points per contest, compared to 113 for the Heat.  Defensively both teams are giving up 106 points per game.  The Heat have controlled the series, winning 8 of their last 10 games against the Suns.  This should be a close game and the Suns do have the advantaged at the line.  The Suns are shooting almost 82%, while the Heat are shooting 71% from the foul line.  Free throw should be a key part in this game, I'll give the edge to the Suns.  Final score prediction, Suns win and cover, 109-106.
