The New Orleans Pelicans and Phoenix Suns meet Friday in NBA action at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The New Orleans Pelicans look for a victory after losing eight of their last 12 games. The New Orleans Pelicans are averaging 115.7 points on 47.7 percent shooting and allowing 115.1 points on 46.5 percent shooting. Anthony Davis is averaging 27.5 points and 12.5 rebounds while Jrue Holiday is averaging 21 points and 7.9 assists. Julius Randle is the third double-digit scorer and E'Twaun Moore is grabbing 2.4 rebounds. The New Orleans Pelicans are shooting 34.2 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free throw line. The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing 36.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 47.1 rebounds per game. The New Orleans Pelicans have lost four of their last five road games.

The Phoenix Suns have a chance to win back-to-back games for the first time since mid-December. The Phoenix Suns are averaging 106.2 points on 45.7 percent shooting and allowing 116.2 points on 48.4 percent shooting. Devin Booker is averaging 24.6 points and 6.7 assists while TJ Warren is averaging 18 points and four rebounds. Deandre Ayton is the third double-digit scorer and Kelly Oubre Jr. is grabbing 4.6 rebounds. The Phoenix Suns are shooting 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 77.6 percent from the free throw line. The Phoenix Suns are allowing 36.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40.1 rebounds per game. The Phoenix Suns haven’t won a home game since January 12.

The Pelicans are 16-7-1 ATS in their last 24 vs. NBA Pacific, 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss and 3-14 ATS in their last 17 Friday games. The Suns are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Friday games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Western Conference and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Phoenix and 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The under is 5-2 in Suns last 7 overall. The over is 4-1 in Pelicans last 5 overall.

The Phoenix Suns are simply unbackable these days, as they're losing by an average of 11.6 points in their last five games and 7.2 points at home this season. Despite being underdogs constantly, the Suns aren't covering numbers and often lose big when they do lose. The New Orleans Pelicans have their issues as well obviously and are only playing their best player for 20 minutes or so, but they were still able to compete with the Lakers twice, while losing to the 76ers by one point and beating the OKC Thunder. The Pelicans are still competing, and that's certainly more than we can say about the Suns. This is a game the Pelicans should be able to win and cover the somewhat small number.

New Orleans Pelicans -4
