The Chicago Bulls travel up to Portland, Oregon to take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday at the Moda Center. The Bulls are on a two-game losing streak, losing the injury-riddled Golden State Warriors 104-90. Zach LaVine scored an impressive 36 points, however, Eric Paschall was able to score 25 points against the Bulls in the Warriors winning effort.
The Bulls stand at 6-13, having another let down of a season and once again will be looking at the NBA lottery likely at the end of the season. LaVine is averaging 21.8 points per game and is proving that he can score the ball, but the Bulls as a whole have proven to not be able to defend as well as they would have hoped.
The Trail Blazers have won two straight games, as Damian Lillard’s return, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 136-119 in large part on the back of Lillard’s 27 points and Carmelo Anthony’s 19 points in his return to OKC.
Portland have not been much better than the Bulls this season with a record of 7-12. The Trail Blazers recently signed Carmelo Anthony in hopes to bolster the defense while the Blazers attempt to get healthy and get back into playoff contention. With Lillard back, they may be on the way back up.
Chicago is 7-12 ATS this season.
Bulls are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Portland is 9-9-1 ATS this season.
Over is 5-1 in Trail Blazers last 6 games following a straight-up win.
The Bulls just lost to the Blazers two games ago and I don’t think much has changed since. The Trail Blazers were up so much in the last game, the Chicago crowd was chanting “we want Melo”, not a great look for Chicago and it’s indicative of how their season has been so far. Portland have not been great this season but they are the more talented of the two teams. Final Score Prediction, Portland Trail Blazers wins and covers 95-83.
