The Line: Sacramento Kings -9 -- Over/Under: 235
The New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings meet Sunday in NBA action at the Golden 1 Center.
The New Orleans Pelicans look for a victory here after losing six of their last seven games. The New Orleans Pelicans are averaging 115.4 points on 47.3 percent shooting and allowing 116.7 points on 46.6 percent shooting. Anthony Davis is averaging 25.9 points and 12 rebounds while Julius Randle is averaging 21.4 points and 8.7 rebounds. E'Twaun Moore is the third double-digit scorer and Darius Miller is grabbing 1.9 rebounds. The New Orleans Pelicans are shooting 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and 76.1 percent from the free throw line. The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing 36.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 47.3 rebounds per game. The New Orleans Pelicans have split their last eight road games.
The Sacramento Kings look for a win after splitting their last 10 games. The Sacramento Kings are averaging 113.8 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allowing 114.8 points on 46.4 percent shooting. Buddy Hield is averaging 20.9 points and 5.1 rebounds while De'Aaron Fox is averaging 17.2 points and 7.2 assists. Marvin Bagley III is the third double-digit scorer and Harrison Barnes is grabbing 5.7 rebounds. The Sacramento Kings are shooting 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free throw line. The Sacramento Kings are allowing 34.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45.5 rebounds per game. The Sacramento Kings have won five of their last eight home games.
The Pelicans are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 1 days rest, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games and 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Kings are 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 home games, 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference. The Pelicans are 8-19-1 ATS in the last 28 meetings in Sacramento and the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The under is 4-1 in Kings last 5 overall. The over is 4-1 in Pelicans last 5 overall.
The Sacramento Kings ave been pretty good at covering numbers at home lately, while the New Orleans Pelicans have clearly checked out and are waiting for the season to end. However, I'm not laying chalk with a young Kings team that's so inconsistent has is allowing 49.7 precent shooting while losing by an average of 7.4 points in their last five games. Both of these teams have nothing to play for and they're both playing sluggish basketball as we cross the finish line. There's better options on Sunday's loaded card, but I'd side with the points if forced to pick this game.
