The Portland Trailblazers and the Sacramento Kings do battle at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night.
The Portland Trailblazers have been in decent form as they’ve won six of their past nine games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the shorthanded 76ers in a 129-95 home win on Sunday. CJ McCollum led the team with 35 points on 13 of 18 shooting, Al-Farouq Aminu scored 16 points while Damian Lillard chipped in with 15 points and five assists. As a team, the Trailblazers shot a sizzling 59 percent from the field and 12 of 22 from the 3-point line as they outscored the 76ers by 70-41 in the first half to put the game to bed early. With the win, Portland improved to 21-16 overall and 14-6 at home.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in good form as they’ve won three of their last five games but they will be looking to bounce back after falling just short against the Lakers in a 121-114 road loss on Sunday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 26 points and seven assists, Buddy Hield and Bojan Bogdanovic each scored 21 points while Willie Cauley-Stein chipped in with 11 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they led by as many as seven points early in the fourth quarter but they went ice-cold from the field as the Lakers rallied back to claim the lead late behind Brandon Ingram. With the loss, Sacramento fell to 19-17 overall and 9-10 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a win of more than 10 points, 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a win. The Kings are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the home team is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings, the under is 30-12 in the last 42 meetings and he Trailblazers are 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
The Trailblazers have been on a nice roll lately and they were certainly clinical in their dominant win over the 76ers on Sunday but the Kings were also playing some great basketball before stumbling against the Lakers in their last outing. These two teams have yet to meet this season but the Trailblazers look to be in a groove at the moment with McCollum playing better so I like them as the slight road favorites in this spot.
