The Line: Toronto Raptors -2.5 -- Over/Under: 229.5
The Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors meet Thursday in NBA action at the Scotiabank Arena.
The Milwaukee Bucks look for a statement victory after winning 14 of their last 17 games. The Milwaukee Bucks are averaging 107.2 points on 48 percent shooting and allowing 107.6 points on 43.2 percent shooting. Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 26.5 points and 12.6 rebounds while Khris Middleton is averaging 17.3 points and 4.2 assists. Eric Blesoe is the third double-digit scorer and Malcolm Brogdon is dishing 3.3 assists. The Milwaukee Bucks are shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc and 76.7 percent from the free throw line. The Milwaukee Bucks are allowing 36.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 48.8 rebounds per game. The Milwaukee Bucks have won six of their last eight road games.
The Toronto Raptors look for another victory after winning 10 of their last 14 games. The Toronto Raptors are averaging 114.1 points on 47.2 percent shooting and allowing 108.7 points on 45.3 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 27.9 points and 7.9 rebounds while Serge Ibaka is averaging 16.1 points and 7.6 rebounds. Pascal Siakam is the third double-digit scorer and Kyle Lowry is dishing 9.4 assists. The Toronto Raptors are shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.1 percent from the free throw line. The Toronto Raptors are allowing 34.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45 rebounds per game. The Toronto Raptors haven’t lost a home since December 9.
The Bucks are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 road games, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games playing on 1 days rest and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Raptors are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Central. The Bucks are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Toronto and the underdog is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The under is 4-1 in Raptors last 5 home games. The under is 8-3 in Bucks last 11 overall.
Getting free points with the Milwaukee Bucks is really hard to pass up when you consider they've been arguably the most consistent team in the NBA this season, which includes a 27-19-3 ATS record. I can't fault anybody for wanting to take the free bucket with the Bucks here. However, the Toronto Raptors are as healthy as they've been in a while and have been really impressive at home where they're shooting 48 percent from the field and winning by an average of 8.9 points. I don't like betting against the Raptors at home, and I'm not going to do it in a game that's a bit of a measuring stick contest for both sides. The Raptors also just beat the Bucks a couple of weeks ago on the road. I'll lay the bucket with Toronto.
