The Utah Jazz and Toronto Raptors meet Tuesday in NBA action at the Scotiabank Arena.
The Utah Jazz look to get back to a .500 record after splitting their last eight games. The Utah Jazz are averaging 107.5 points on 46.4 percent shooting and allowing 105.6 points on 46.1 percent shooting. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 20.1 points and 3.4 assists while Rudy Gobert is averaging 15 points and 12.5 rebounds. Ricky Rubio is the third double-digit scorer and Joe Ingles is dishing 4.7 assists. The Utah Jazz are shooting 34.5 percent from beyond the arc and 71.8 percent from the free throw line. The Utah Jazz are allowing 36.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44.2 rebounds per game. The Utah Jazz have lost four of their last five road games.
The Toronto Raptors look for a spark of consistency after splitting their last eight games. The Toronto Raptors are averaging 112.9 points on 47.2 percent shooting and allowing 107.2 points on 45 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 26.7 points and 8.3 rebounds while Serge Ibaka is averaging 16.2 points and 7.3 rebounds. Pascal Siakam is the third double-digit scorer and Kyle Lowry is dishing 9.8 assists. The Toronto Raptors are shooting 34.1 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the free throw line. The Toronto Raptors are allowing 34 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45.4 rebounds per game. The Toronto Raptors have won four of their last five home games.
The Jazz are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Tuesday games, 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. The Raptors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games, 8-17 ATS in their last 25 Tuesday games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Jazz are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Toronto and 1-10 ATS in the last 11 meetings. The under is 5-1 in Raptors last 6 home games. The under is 8-1 in Jazz last 9 overall.
The Utah Jazz are starting to finally get going offensively, as they're shooting 49.8 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from three in their last five games. While it's worth noting, I still need to see more consistency from the Jazz, as this has been one of the tougher teams in the league to figure out. The Toronto Raptors are banged up and haven't been playing well recently, but they continue to win at home and still have the best player on the floor most nights. While the numbers and trends may suggest the Jazz and the points are worth a look, the spread isn't big enough for me to get off the Raptors at home.
