The Toronto Raptors go on the road to take the floor at the Utah Jazz in an NBA preseason matchup.
The Toronto Raptors will be gunning for back to back wins after opening the preseason with a 122-104 victory against Portland. After a close first quarter Toronto slowly pulled away on the strength of a 42-18 advantage at the charity stripe.
The balanced Raptors offense featured five players scoring in double figures with Jonas Valanciunas tossing in a game high 17 with seven boards on 4-8 shooting. Kyle Lowry gave Toronto 15 on 3-6 with four yanks on 3-6 from the floor while Kawhi Leonard added 12 points.
Fred VanFleet and Lorenzo Brown combined for another 21 points as the Raptors had numerous options at the offensive end of the floor with the Trail Blazers having just two players score in DD.
The Utah Jazz began their NBA preseason schedule with a wire to wire 130-72 rout of Perth. Utah exploded to a 44-13 lead in the first quarter and were never challenged with just too much size, speed and talent for Perth.
Grayson Allen led all scorers with 19 points on 7-14 from the floor including five long balls while Alec Burks gave the Jazz 18 points and five pulls on 6-8 shooting with another four makes from distance.
Utah saw Rudy Gobert score 14 points and haul in nine rebounds on 6-7 followed by Tony Bradley with 12 points and another nine rebounds while Joe Crowder dropped 13 points with six pulls.
