The Memphis Grizzlies (26-26) will visit the Washington Wizards (18-32) at the Capitol One Arena. The Grizzlies have done a masterful job at rebuilding this team. They’re not ready to compete just yet but Memphis is sure on the brink thanks to a couple great trade deadline moves.

The Grizzlies, now back at .500, are led by Jaren Jackson Jr., who averages 17.6 points per game. Jonas Valanciunas averages a team-high 10.3 rebounds per game while the most likely, Rookie of the Year candidate, Ja Morant averages the most assists on the team with seven per game. Memphis scores 113.3 points per game but allows 114.9 points against. The Grizzlies shoot 47.5 percent from the field and snag 45.4 rebounds per game.

Washington’s Bradley Beal helped the Wizards sneak by the Mavericks at home with a buzzer beating layup at time expired to win. Beal, the biggest All-Star snub, averages 29.2 points per game along with 6.3 assists per game. Troy Brown Jr. averages 5.8 rebounds per game. Washington scores 115.7 points per game but allows an average of 120.8 points per game. The Wizards shoot 46.4 percent and bring down 42.4 rebounds per game.

Grizzlies are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Wizards are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Over is 4-1 in Grizzlies last 5 overall.
Over is 7-1 in Wizards last 8 overall.

Memphis has won four of their last six games with the two losses coming to the Pelicans and most recently, the 76ers. The Grizzlies are going to take to develop but they’re going to be a special team when that time comes. The Grizzlies have built a young core of exciting players that seem to enjoy playing together. But the Wizards and Bradley Beal are on a quest. Beal, who averages almost 30 points a game, didn’t make the All-Star game and he said that he’ll do whatever it takes to bring a playoff team to Washington this season. That probably won’t happen. But Beal should carry the Wizards past Memphis at home. Wizards are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. Final Score Prediction, Washington Wizards win and cover ATS 120-113.
