The Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards duke it out at the Capital One Arena on Saturday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been on a tear as they’ve won eight of their last nine games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Raptors in a 105-92 road win on Thursday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals, Khris Middleton added 18 points with four assists while Eric Bledsoe chipped in with 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they held the Raptors to just 39 percent shooting and just 16 points in the fourth quarter. With the impressive win, Milwaukee improved to 37-13 overall and 15-9 on the road.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their last 10 games and they will be looking to build on Wednesday’s 107-89 home win over the Pacers. Bradley Beal led the team with 25 points and six assists, Jeff Green added 23 points and six assists off the bench while Trevor Ariza chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 52 percent from the field and 12 of 28 from the 3-point line as they cruised to victory after outscoring the Pacers by 59-45 in the first half. With the win, Washington improved to 22-29 overall and 16-9 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a losing record, 4-1-1 ATS in their last six road games and 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The Wizards are 8-1 ATS in their last nine home games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games overall.
Head to head, the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings, the under is 7-0 in the last seven meetings and the Bucks are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings.
The Wizards were great in their 113-105 upset win over the Bucks back on Jan 11 but a lot has changed since then as the Wizards have cooled off while the Bucks have continued to run through teams on a nightly basis. The Wizards are a threat of pulling off the upset again, but I just don’t see it happening against this Bucks team who looked great in their statement win of the Raptors. The Bucks are just 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings but I’m backing them to exact their revenge with a win and cover in this one.
