USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers square off Sunday afternoon at Qualcomm Stadium.

The Miami Dolphins hope to avoid losing back-to-back games for the fourth time this season. Ryan Tannehill is completing 61.3 percent of his passes for 3,313 yards, 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Tannehill has five touchdown passes in his last three games. Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills have combined for 1,312 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Jordan Cameron has 29 receptions. The Miami Dolphins ground game is averaging 98 yards per contest, and Lamar Miller leads the way with 769 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Miami is allowing 25.5 points and 393.3 yards per game. Reshad Jones leads the Dolphins with 118 tackles, Olivier Vernon has 6.5 sacks and Brent Grimes has 12 pass deflections.

The San Diego Chargers look for a feel good victory as this will be their last home game. Philip Rivers is completing 66.4 percent of his passes for 3,976 yards, 23 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Rivers has four touchdown passes in his last four games. Danny Woodhead and Antonio Gates have combined for 1,098 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Malcom Floyd has 26 receptions. The San Diego Chargers ground game is averaging 79.7 yards per contest, and Melvin Gordon leads the way with 600 yards on 169 carries. Defensively, San Diego is allowing 25.7 points and 367.4 yards per game. Eric Weddle leads the Chargers with 74 tackles, Melvin Ingram has six sacks and Jason Verrett has 10 pass deflections. Dontrelle Inman, D.J. Fluker and Stevie Johnson are questionable.

The Dolphins are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up loss and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Chargers are 1-11 ATS in their last 12 home games and 7-17 ATS in their last 24 games overall. The Dolphins are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings.

Talk about a game that doesn't matter and two teams that are better off losing this game in hopes of a better draft pick. Regardless, I have to go with the Chargers at home. Miami is coming off a short week and has to travel clear across the country, a formula that usually doesn't bode well.

Pick:
San Diego Chargers -2
