The Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns play a preseason game Thursday at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Atlanta Falcons look to build on their 23-17 victory over the Washington Redskins. In the victory, Matt Schaub led the way with 117 passing yards on 10 completions. Matt Ryan should get more reps after going 0-4 in the first game. Aldrick Robinson and Eric Weems combined for more than 150 receiving yards on five catches while Nick Williams had three receptions. The Atlanta Falcons ground game averaged 2.8 yards per carry and Brandon Wilds led the charge with 26 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Damian Parms led the Falcons with six tackles, Cory Johnson had one sack and Deion Jones had one pass deflection.

The Cleveland Browns look for a better showing after losing to the Green Bay Packers, 17-11. In the losing effort, Robert Griffin led the way with 67 passing yards and one interception. Griffin should only improve with more reps with his new team. Terrelle Pryor and Rannell Hall combined for 84 receiving yards on four catches while Gary Barnidge had two receptions. The Cleveland Browns ground game averaged 4.5 yards per carry and Raheem Mostert led the charge with 43 yards on five carries. Defensively, Emmanuel Ogbah led the Browns with six tackles, Carl Nassib had one sack and Eric Patterson had one pass deflection.

The Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Browns are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Griffin should be more comfortable with some real reps under his belt and should play better in this contest. The Falcons have interesting backups who can move the ball, but the Browns are younger and have more roster spots open. I like the teams that have a lot of guys fighting for playing time, as it usually results in success.

Give me the Browns and small line.
