The Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens face off on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in a NFL AFC matchup.
The Indianapolis Colts are 2-2 this season after starting the season 0-2 they have won their last two games. The Colts offense has been the best in the NFL averaging 34 points per game and 444 yards. Colts QB Andrew Luck has completed 68.9 percent of his passes with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions while being sacked five times. Trent Richardson has been the Colts go to back though he is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and Ahmad Bradshaw is averaging 5.4 yards per attempt. Reggie Wayne is healthy again leading Indy with 23 receptions and T.Y. Hilton has 22 receptions. The Colts defense is improving allowing 23.8 points per game and 356 yards and they have five interceptions, eight sacks, and three fumble recoveries. D’Qwell Jackson has been a welcome addition to the Colts defense with 32 tackles and two sacks, Mike Adams has 15 tackles, and Eric Walden has two sacks but the Colts are without their second leading tackler LaRon Landry who is suspended for four games. The Colts are in second place in the AFC South that is shaping up to be a two team race with the Texans.
The Baltimore Ravens are 3-1 on the season after losing in week one and winning their next three games. The Ravens offense is putting up 25.8 points per game and 394.2 yards both ranking them in the top 25 percent in the NFL. Joe Flacco has completed 63.4 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and two interceptions. Justin Forsett is the Ravens leading ground gainer averaging 5.8 yards per carry and catching 16 passes out of the backfield. Steve Smith is Baltimore’s leading receiver with 25 catches and three touchdowns and Dennis Pitta has 16 receptions. The Ravens have the second best scoring defense in the NFL allowing just 15 points per game and 342.8 yards but they have just one interception, four sacks, and three fumble recoveries. C.J. Mosley has 34 tackles, Daryl Smith has 30 tackles, and Elvis Dumervil has 3.5 sacks. The Ravens missed the playoffs last season and they are dead set on getting there this season.
Indianapolis is 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 home games, 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games, and 4-1 against the spread following a win. Baltimore is 1-4-1 against the spread against the AFC, 0-3-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread, and 1-7 against the spread in their last eight October games. The favorite has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
This one could come down to a field goal either way so that makes the Ravens getting more than three points the play.
