The Line: Denver Broncos -13 -- Over/Under: 51
The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos will play a division matchup Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The Kansas City Chiefs had one of the more disappointing performances of week 1, losing to the Tennessee Titans at home, 26-10. Alex Smith completed just 54.3 percent of his passes for 202 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Smith was also the Chiefs leading rusher, as Jamaal Charles had just 19 yards on seven carries. It was just an all around brutal offensive performance for the Kansas City Chiefs, as they were just 1-12 on third down attempts and averaged just 4.4 yards per play. Defensively things weren’t much better, as the Chiefs allowed 405 yards and 26 points in the final three quarters. Eric Berry leads Kansas City with 15 tackles and Justin Houston had two sacks in the losing effort.
The Denver Broncos did what the Denver Broncos do in their season opener by beating the Indianapolis Colts, 31-24. Peyton Manning threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns, proving that he’s once again going to have another incredible season and likely be included in MVP races. Julius Thomas was on the receiving end of all three touchdowns, as he topped 100 yards on just seven receptions. The Denver Broncos only area of weakness was its running game, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. Montee Ball has to be more effective in order for the Broncos to have a complete offense. Defensively, the Denver Broncos allowed 408 yards and held the Colts to 4-13 on third down attempts. Brandon Marshall leads Denver with 10 tackles and DeMarcus Ware had 1.5 sacks in his Broncos debut.
While the broncos should win, the Cheifs are getting too many points here.
