NFL | San Francisco 49ers (5-11) at Denver Broncos (15-4)

The San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos play a preseason game Saturday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The San Francisco 49ers look for a bounce back performance after losing their opener to the Houston Texans, 24-13. In the losing effort, Thaddeus Lewis led the way with 97 passing yards on 12 completions. Colin Kaepernick should see a lot of reps in this game after sitting out in the loss. Vance McDonald and Jerome Simpson combined for 83 receiving yards and one touchdown while DeAndrew White had two receptions. The San Francisco 49ers ground game averaged 6.9 yards per carry and Mike Davis led the charge with 72 yards on five carries. Defensively, Michael Wilhoite led the 49ers with five tackles, Shayne Skov had one sack and Nick Bellore had two tackles for loss.

The Denver Broncos look to build on their impressive 22-0 preseason win over the Chicago Bears. In the victory, Mark Sanchez led the way with 99 passing yards and one touchdown. Sanchez looked sharp in his debut by completing 10 of 13 pass attempts. Cody Latimer and Jordan Taylor combined for 126 receiving yards on nine catches while Demaryius Thomas had two receptions. The Denver Broncos ground game averaged 3.2 yards per carry and Kapri Bibbs led the charge with 53 yards on 15 carries. Defensively, Eddie Yarbrough led the Broncos with five tackles, Vontarrius Dora had two sacks and Lorenzo Doss had one pass deflection.

The 49ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Broncos are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games.

The Broncos were the most impressive in week 1 of the preseason, but that doesn't mean you go and lay four points the next week.  Kaepernick is likely going to get playing time in this game and the 49ers have some young backups who can make plays as well. Betting preseason is always risky, but there's usual value in four or more points. That's the case here.

Give me the 49ers and the free points.
