The Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons play Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
The Arizona Cardinals look to bounce back from their loss to Seattle and build their lead in the NFC West. The Cardinals are led by a defense that’s allowing 17.7 points, 339.1 yards, and they’ve forced 25 sacks and 20 turnovers. Rashad Johnson leads Arizona with 70 tackles and Calais Campbell has six sacks. Offensively, Drew Stanton is completing 53.6 percent of his passes for five touchdowns and three interceptions. Stanton has two touchdowns and three picks in his last two games, and the Cardinals have 38 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown have combined for more than 1,200 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while John Carlson has six touchdowns in his last two games. Fitzgerald is questionable for this game with a nee injury. The Cardinals running game is averaging 3.1 yards per carry, as Andre Ellington leads the way with 648 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
The Atlanta Falcons have lost six of their last eight games but are still in first place in the NFC South. Matt Ryan is completing 65.1 percent of his passes for 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Ryan has four touchdowns and one pick in his last three games, and the Falcons have 43 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Paul Worrilow leads the Falcons with 103 tackles and Desmond Trufant has 12 pass deflections.
The Cardinals are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games overall. The Falcons are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in November and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.
The Atlanta Falcons have the worst defense in the league and have been just as bad against the number as they've been overall. Give me the Arizona Cardinals for the victory with the cheap chalk.
