The Line: Indianapolis Colts -4.5 -- Over/Under: 48.5
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts meet Sunday in a 2016-17 NFL finale at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Jacksonville Jaguars look for back-to-back victories for just the second time this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost five straight road games. Blake Bortles is completing 58.5 percent of his passes for 3,604 yards, 22 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Bortles has one or less touchdown pass in his last four games. Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee have combined for 1,566 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while Allen Hurns has 35 receptions. The Jacksonville Jaguars ground game is averaging 96.6 yards per contest, and T.J. Yeldon leads the way with 465 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Jacksonville is allowing 25.1 points and 317.5 yards per game. Paul Posluszny leads the Jacksonville Jaguars with 127 tackles, Malik Jackson has 4.5 sacks and Jalen Ramsey has two interceptions.
The Indianapolis Colts look for a feel good victory to end the season with a .500 record. The Indianapolis Colts have lost three of their last four home games. Andrew Luck is completing 63.8 percent of his passes for 3,919 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Luck has two or more touchdown passes in his last five games. T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle have combined for 1,927 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns while Phillip Dorsett has 29 receptions. The Indianapolis Colts ground game is averaging 102.3 yards per contest, and Frank Gore leads the way with 964 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Indianapolis is allowing 24.8 points and 376.8 yards per game. D'Qwell Jackson leads the Indianapolis Colts with 78 tackles, Erik Walden has 10 sacks and Darius Butler has three interceptions.
The Jaguars are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in January and 2-5-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Colts are 19-7-2 ATS in their last 28 vs. AFC South and 24-7 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The favorite is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 meetings and the under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.
Neither of these teams have anything to play for and the Colts are probably less interested given the way their season has ended. The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a strong victory over the Tennessee Titans and have won the last two meetings against the Colts. In fact, the Jags have scored a combined 81 points in their last two games against the Colts. Those are impressive numbers and it's not like the Colts defense has improved since then. This should be a weird football game between two teams that have nothing to play for. I'll take a stab with Jacksonville and the points.
