The Jaguars look to build some momentum and get a big AFC South division victory over the visiting Houston Texans.
The Texans head into Jacksonville on Sunday looking for a repeat effort of Brian Hoyer who despite the loss against the Colts last week was on fire through the air and he will likely be under center for good now as Ryan Mallett will be relegated to back up. Houston and Jacksonville enter with equally disappointing 1-4 records and will likely be absent from the postseason unless they can come up with a miraculous recovery but a top draft pick is more on the horizon for both teams but ultimately we have to find a winner between the two. Arian Foster is in his third game back from injury and will look to continue his progression and Deandre Hopkins will look for another big game through the air as he is quickly becoming one of the best wide outs in the NFL and can make that claim again with a big effort here.
The Jags continue to be among the league's worst teams and while they are making some head way with Blake Bortles looking much better and their receiving corps shaping up nicely they are still a couple years away from being competitive. Jacksonville has one of the worst home field advantages in the league and in fact they seem to play better when they're on the road and away from the home crowd but they are in Florida for this one and the Texans have had a couple extra days off. The Jags are favoured here but I have no idea what for as I think the Texans are at least a field goal better on paper regardless of where the game is played and the fact that we are getting points is a gift. I'm on the road team.
