The Seattle Seahawks collide with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday.
The Seattle Seahawks opened their preseason schedule with a 22-20 loss to the visiting Denver Broncos. The Seahawks defense allowed 355 yards and forced five field goals as the starters played a few snaps or didn’t play at all in some cases. The offense didn’t play their starters much either and we saw the results as in 13 first downs and 181 total yards with four fumbles (two lost) along with ten penalties for 71 yards. RJ Archer paced the passing attack with 110 yards on 11-20 with 19 yard scoring strike in the 4th to Thomas Rawls who led the team in rushing with 31 yards on nine carries. Kevin Smith led the receiving corps with a pair of catches for 36 yards including a 24 yarder.
The Kansas City Chief started and ended slow in their preseason opener versus Arizona but they dominated the second an third on the way to a 34-19 victory. The Chiefs easily won the yardage battle 370-278 and were able to run and throw effectively. The story of this one was quarterback Chase Daniel who was a near perfect 17-21 for 189 yards an three touchdowns. Charcandrick West led all runners with 49 yards on six carries including a game high 34 yard scamper. Fred Williams caught six passes for 82 yards and a score with a long of 33 yards while Frankie Hammond and Da’Ron Brown caught 13 yard and 14 yard touchdown tosses.
