The Line: Los Angeles Rams -3 -- Over/Under: 47
On Sunday from LA Memorial Coliseum, the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Rams will be meeting up in NFL action.
The Texans come into this one with a 3-5 record on the year. Houston has lost three of their last four games versus the Chiefs, Seahawks and Colts. In that Colts game, Houston QB Tom Savage posted 219 yards and one TD.
On the year, Savage has 281 yards with one TD and no picks, and Lamar Miller is the top Texans rusher with 483 yards and two touchdowns from 129 carries. DeAndre Hopkins leads the Texans on 692 yards and eight scores off 51 receptions.
The Rams have been a pleasant surprise this year on a 6-2 record. LA has beaten the Jaguars, Cardinals and Giants in their last three games. In that New York matchup, Rams QB Jared Goff put up 311 yards and four TDs.
On the year, Goff has 2030 yards, 13 touchdowns and four picks, and Todd Gurley leads LA on 686 rush yards and seven TDs from 161 attempts. Robert Woods is the leading Rams receiver with 451 yards and two touchdowns on 31 catches.
The Texans are 5-0 ATS in their last five games in Week 10 and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. Houston is also 1-5 ATS in their last six games on grass and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up loss.
Meanwhile, the Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games in Week 10 and 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine games in November. LA is also 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 home games and 1-5 ATS versus a team with a losing record.
The Texans have pretty much spiraled out of contention in the short time DeShaun Watson has been gone, and the loss to a bad Colts team looks even worse now. As for LA, they’ve been winning by double-digits over their last three games, including an 84-17 result over the last two. There’s not much to like about Houston these days, and the Rams are red hot. I’ll take LA to cover.
