NFL | New York Jets (6-5) at New York Giants (5-6)

The New York Giants and the New York Jets face off on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in a Week 13 NFL rivalry game.

The New York Giants are 5-6 that puts them right in the thick of things in the NFC East. The Giants offense is averaging 26.1 points and 354.6 yards per game and they are plus 10 in turnover ratio. Giants QB Eli Manning has completed 63 percent of his passes with 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rashad Jennings is the Giants top rusher with 417 yards and Odell Beckham Jr. has 72 receptions and nine touchdowns. The Giants defense is allowing 24.8 points and 419.6 yards per game with 14 interceptions, 12 sacks, and 14 fumble recoveries. Ladon Collins leads the Giants in tackles with 70, Jonathan Casillas as 56 tackles, and Devon Kinnard has 58 tackles. With the NFC East up for grabs the Giants can make the playoffs with a strong finish.

The New York Jets are 6-5 this season and also fighting for a playoff spot in the AFC. The Jets offense is averaging 24.7 points and 356.6 yards per game and they have a plus four turnover ratio. Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has completed 58.5 percent of his passes with 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Chris Ivory is the Jets leading rusher with 766 yards ad seven touchdowns and Brandon Marshall is the leading receiver with 71 catches and nine touchdowns. The Jets defense is allowing 20.7 points and 323.9 yards per game with 11 interceptions, 25 sacks, and 12 fumble recoveries. David Harris leads the Jets defense with 75 tackles, Demario Davis has 64 tackles, and Marcus Gilchrist has 59 tackles. The Jets need to keep winning to secure their place in the post season.

The Giants are 4-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games, and 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record. The Jets are 5-1-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread and 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games.

The underdog is 3-1-1 against the spread in the last five meetings of these two.

I expect the Jets to put the hammer down in this one and get the win and cover.
