Defensively, Jacksonville is allowing 17 points and 259.7 yards per game. The New York Jets look for another home victory to get back to a .500 record. The New York Jets have lost four of their last six home games. The Jaguars are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. AFC and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Jets are 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. AFC and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. The Jaguars are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings in New York, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings and the road team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
This is a tough game to predict given the travel situation for the Jaguars, as it’s not easy to return to London and play in the states, especially when you’re playing a road game. The NFL did the Jags no favors in this spot. The Jets also played defense last week against the Dolphins and for the first time in a while looked like an NFL team. I was strongly considering taking the Jets and the free points, but the Jaguars have been lightyears the more impressive team overall, as they waxed both the Texans and the Ravens. Take away last weeks performance, and the Jets get little from its offense and the defense gets gashed against the run. The only reason not to lay the chalk is because of the constant travel Jacksonville has been doing leading up to this game and that usually catches up to teams. However, I’m going to roll the dice here and back the better and more talented team.
I'm not trying to over think things here.
