The Bears have had quite a few shortcomings this year, but one thing that they have been able to do is win. By some form of play the Bears have managed to pick up a record that has them sitting at 3-1 on the year and has not really looked that bad at all. The Bears even managed to pick up a win in the last game out against division rival Minnesota by keeping the Vikings offense to only 6 points the entire game.
The Raiders are heading into the game after already getting an upset last week. However, the Raiders are a team that will need to really look towards the way they are able to build upon the success they had in the last game as they will make a difference as to how the Raiders are able to come into this game.
This year the Bears offense has not really been that amazing with only 16.5 points a game. The passing offense has managed to get a total of 195.8 yards a game and the rushing offense has ended up with a total of 90.3 yards a game. The defense for the Bears has allowed only 11.3 points a game. They have shut down the run for the most part allowing only 61.5 yards a game, but have ended up giving up 265 yards a game in the air.
Oakland has not had the best offense in the nation this year with a total of 19.8 points a game being scored. The offense has thrown the ball for 222 yards a game, but the rushing offense has managed to get a total of 125.8 yards a game on the year so far. Defensively the Raiders have allowed 25.5 points a game, but have allowed 287.5 yards a game in the air. The rushing defense has been poor as well giving up 104.5 yards per game.
The Raiders pulled off an upset win over the Colts, but it was mainly because of shortcomings on the side of the Colts. The Raiders, though, are not going to get as many breaks against the Bears as the Bears are more disciplined on the field. Look for that to make the difference as the Bears defense is able to help bring home another win for the Bears as they contain the Raiders offense. Final Score Prediction, Chicago Bears win, but do not cover 17-14.
