The Line: Carolina Panthers -3 -- Over/Under: 47
The Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers square off Sunday night at Bank of America Stadium.
The Philadelphia Eagles look for their second road victory to get a game above a .500 record. Sam Bradford is completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 1,561 yards, nine touchdowns and nine interceptions. Bradford has thrown five picks in his last two games. Jordan Matthews and Zach Ertz have combined for 591 receiving yards and one touchdown while Riley Cooper has 11 receptions. The Philadelphia Eagles ground game is averaging 103.5 yards per contest, and Ryan Mathews leads the way with 245 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Philly is allowing 18.3 points and 354.8 yards per game. Malcolm Jenkins leads the Eagles with 41 tackles, Fletcher Cox has five sacks and Walter Thurmond III has three interceptions. Brandon Bair, Mychal Kendricks and Nelson Agholor are questionable.
The Carolina Panthers look to keep their undefeated record by winning their fifth straight home game. Cam Newton is completing 55.4 percent of his passes for 1,078 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. Newton has two touchdown passes in three of his last four games. Greg Olsen and Ted Ginn Jr. have combined for 598 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Corey Brown has eight receptions. The Carolina Panthers ground game is averaging 132.8 yards per contest, and Jonathan Stewart leads the way with 298 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Carolina is allowing 18.8 points and 338 yards per game. Thomas Davis leads the Panthers with 44 tackles, Josh Norman has four interceptions and Kawann Short has two sacks. Shaq Thompson, A.J. Klein and Jared Allen are questionable.
The Eagles are 7-16-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in Week 7. The Panthers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
It's really hard to bet against the Panthers with the way they're playing right now. It's also quite easy to bet against the Eagles with a quarterback who throws interception after interception in the worst parts of the field. It's terrible to watch. I expect the Panthers to roll here and add yet another notch in the win column.
