NFL | San Diego Chargers (7-4) at Baltimore Ravens (7-4)

The San Diego Chargers and Baltimore Ravens play Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium.

The San Diego Chargers have won back-to-back games and are fighting for their playoff lives. Philip Rivers is completing 68.3 percent of his passes for 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rivers has two touchdowns and one pick in his last two games and the Chargers have 40 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd have combined for more than 1,200 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Eddie Royal has eight receptions in his last two games. The Chargers ground game is averaging 3.3 yards per carry, as Branden Oliver leads the way with 424 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, the San Diego Chargers are allowing 19.6 points, 330.1 yards, and they’ve forced 18 sacks and 13 turnovers. Eric Weddle leads the Chargers with 77 tackles and Corey Liuget has 3.5 sacks.

The Baltimore Ravens have split their last four games and are also in the playoff hunt. Joe Flacco is completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Flacco has two touchdowns and zero picks in his last two games and the Ravens have 32 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Steve Smith and Torrey Smith have combined for more than 1,300 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while Owen Daniels has 10 receptions in his last three games. The Ravens ground game is averaging 4.6 yards per carry, as Justin Forsett leads the way with 903 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, the Baltimore Ravens are allowing 18.9 points, 352.9 yards, and they’ve forced 29 sacks and 16 turnovers. C.J. Mosley leads Baltimore with 99 tackles and Terrell Suggs has six sacks.

The Chargers are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games in November and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Ravens are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 vs. AFC. The Chargers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the home team is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings.

This game has huge playoff implications and it should be a hard fought matchup. With that said, I’m taking the Chargers and as many points as I can get. San Diego could win this game outright if Rivers has one of his usual games. The points are too good to pass up.

San Diego Chargers +5.5
