The Line: Los Angeles Rams -10 -- Over/Under: 50
The San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams will meet up in Week 17 NFL activity on Sunday.
San Francisco enters this one at 4-11 on the year. Following two consecutive wins over the Broncos 20-14 and the Seahawks 26-23, the 49ers fell to the Bears in a tough one this past Sunday 14-9.
In the Chicago game, 49ers QB Nick Mullens put up 241 yards and a pick, and Jeffrey Wilson led a paltry rush on 27 yards. George Kittle had a decent outing with seven catches for 74 yards for the Niners.
Over on the Rams’ side, they’re 12-3 this season. Los Angeles dropped a pair of games versus the Bears 15-6 and the Eagles 30-23, but in their last appearance they drilled the Cardinals 31-9.
In the Cardinals game, Rams QB Jared Goff posted 216 yards with one TD, and Robert Woods led the receivers with 89 yards and a score off six catches. Tops in rushing for LA was CJ Anderson on 167 yards and a TD.
The 49ers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Week 17 and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games in December. San Francisco is 2-5 ATS in the last seven road games and 1-6 ATS in the last seven versus the NFC.
Meanwhile, the Rams are 4-9 ATS in the last 13 in December and 2-5 ATS in the last seven versus the NFC. LA is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six on grass and 0-5 ATS in the last five games in Week 17.
Among the 49ers’ myriad problems this year is their lack of ability to score on offense. Over their last five games, they’ve topped 20 points just once, a 26-23 win over the Seahawks.
As for the Rams, They were on a dominant run up until that Bears game, where they were only able to muster six points. That will be a blueprint in the playoffs, and even though the Niners won’t be able to stop them, I like San Fran to get into this thick line.
