The Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks meet Sunday in NFL action at CenturyLink Field.
The Philadelphia Eagles look for a 10th straight victory as they inch closer to the top seed in the NFC. The Philadelphia Eagles have won four of their last five road games. Carson Wentz is completing 60.2 percent of his passes for 2,657 yards, 28 touchdowns and five interceptions. Wentz has two or more touchdown passes in each of his last seven games. Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery have combined for 1,258 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns while Nelson Agholor has 33 receptions. The Philadelphia Eagles ground game is averaging 147.5 yards per contest, and LeGarrette Blount leads the way with 658 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Philadelphia is allowing 17.4 points and 291.6 yards per game. Nigel Bradham leads the Philadelphia Eagles with 57 tackles, Brandon Graham has seven sacks and Jalen Mills has three interceptions.
The Seattle Seahawks look for a statement victory after winning six of their last eight games. The Seattle Seahawks have split their last four home games. Russell Wilson is completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 3,029 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Wilson has two or more touchdown passes in each of his last six games. Doug Baldwin and Paul Richardson have combined for 1,282 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while Jimmy Graham has 49 receptions. The Seattle Seahawks ground game is averaging 102.9 yards per contest, and Wilson leads the way with 401 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Seattle is allowing 19.3 points and 311.7 yards per game. Bobby Wagner leads the Seattle Seahawks with 100 tackles, Michael Bennett has 7.5 sacks and Earl Thomas has two interceptions.
The Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games, 6-0 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC and 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Seahawks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games, 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games in December and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Eagles are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings, the road team is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings and the favorite is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings.
The Seattle Seahawks will always be tough at home, especially during primetime where the crowd has a chance to wake up and get their vocal cords nice and warm. It's possibly the toughest spot to win in the NFL. However, the Seahawks are now without Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman for the rest of the season, and that's bad news when going against an explosive and pass happy offense. Wentz is making a strong case for MVP, and the Eagles lead the league with 28 touchdown passes. Seattle will put up a fight due to Wilson being the playmaker he is and his knack for keeping his team in games until the end, but overall, this is a bad matchup for the banged up Seahawks. There's just not enough healthy bodies to control this red hot Philly team. I'll take the Eagles by a touchdown here.
