Before we gear up to watch the Steelers and J.J. Watt square-off tonight, I think it’s important to take a moment to think about yesterday night’s momentous game. Peyton Manning finally broke (in my opinion, anyway) his biggest record to date, passing Brett Favre as the all time touchdown pass leader. Today, we’re going to take a brief look at the top ten players on this esteemed list.

1. Peyton Manning, currently playing for the Denver Broncos, now has 510 touchdown passes and is still going strong. I can’t wait to see where No. 18 ends up.

2. Brett Favre threw 508 touchdown passes during the course of his lengthy career, which spanned 20 years.

3. Dan Marino threw 420 touchdown passes during his 16 year tenure with the Miami Dolphins.

4. Drew Brees, another current player, has thrown 374 touchdown passes to date.

5. Everyone’s favorite 7th round pick, Tom Brady, has racked-up 372 touchdown passes during his career with the New England Patriots.

6. Fran Tarkenton threw 342 touchdown passes from 1961-1978.

7. Between 1983-1998, Broncos QB John Elway threw exactly 300 touchdown passes.

8. Warren Moon, who played from 1984-2000, had 291 touchdown passes during his career.

9. The legendary Johnny Unitas has a total of 290 touchdown passes during his time in the league, from 1956-1973.

10. Vinny Testaverde, during his 20 year tenure with nearly a quarter of the league, threw 275 touchdown passes.
