Draft Day is tomorrow and you can safely bet that Chicagoland is a whirlwind. We already ran through this year’s best draft prospects during the Combine in February, so today’s focus remains on everyone’s favorite players: kickers. This morning, we’re going to look at the top ten (and by ten, I mean twelve) longest field goals of the 2014 NFL season.
1. Buffalo Bills K Dan Carpenter nailed a 58-yard field goal attempt in 2014.
(1*) 2. Seattle Seahawks K Steven Hauschka's longest field goal of last year was also 58 yards.
3. Oakland Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 57-yard field goal last season.
4. Dallas Cowboys K Dan Bailey hit a 56-yarder during the 2014 regular season.
(4*) 5. St. Louis Rams K Greg Zuerlein also nailed a 56-yard field goal attempt last year.
6.-12. Seven NFL kickers, the San Francisco 49ers’ Phil Dawson, the New York Jets’ Nick Folk, the Green Bay Packers’ Mason Crosby, the Minnesota Vikings’ Blair Walsh, the Houston Texans’ Randy Bullock, the Baltimore Ravens’ Justin Tucker, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Patrick Murray all hit 55-yard field goals during the 2014 season.
