The Ducks look to continue their winning ways with a home date against the Coyotes on Monday who have dropped seven of their last 10 contests.
The Arizona Coyotes look to stay ahead of the Anaheim Ducks in the Pacific division standings with a victory on the road on Monday but as losers of seven of 10 the Coyotes appear to have regressed since their beginning of the season surge. Arizona takes on a Ducks team that had everyone panicking after the first two weeks of the season but since their sluggish start they have ripped off four wins in a row and are back on the radar as a Western Conference contender. The Coyotes will likely start Mike Smith in this one as he will go up against Frederik Andersen. Arizona is 4-2-1 away from home this season while the Ducks have improved their mark at home to 4-2-1 of late.
The Anaheim Ducks have started to turn things around and are back to be heavy favourites on home ice as we see tonight and rightfully so. For a group that had a very tough time scoring goals to start the year they are finally giving Frederik Andersen so much needed offensive support and as such the team is winning hockey games and are in a great spot to do so again tonight. The Ducks have a ton of fire power and all good teams have to battle through rough patches of their season, and while more could be on the horizon I don't anticipate another stretch like that from this group which can only be a positive moving forward. Anaheim should roll again tonight and taking them in regulation will take off some of the juice.
