The Dallas Stars welcome the Detroit Red Wings in a Saturday NHL tilt.

The Detroit Red Wings need a change in momentum after a 5-2 defeat at Pittsburgh on Thursday saddled the team with losses in seven of eight. The Red Wings received scoring came from Dylan Larkin and Andreas Athanasiou with Jimmy Howard getting the loss with four goals allowed on 39 shots. 

The Penguins saw Phil Kessel and Derick Brassard score twice each with Patric Hornqvist joining the scoring column. Evegni Malkin gave the Pens a pair of helpers and Matt Murray recorded 27 stops to get the win.

The Dallas Stars are gunning for back to back victories after upending the Nashville Predators 2-0 on the road Thursday. The Predators ran in to a hot goalie and Pekka Rinne was charged with the loss with a 28 save effort falling short.

Tyler Pitlick scored in the first period for the Stars with Mattias Janmark lighting the lamp in the second. Anton Khudobin was the star of the game for Dallas with a monster 49 save performance.
