The Philadelphia Flyers take the ice at the Anaheim Ducks in Tuesday NHL action.

The Philadelphia Flyers have struggled at both ends of the ice which has been a problem during a three game skid that was capped off by a 6-1 loss to the Islanders on Saturday. Jori Lehtera scored the lone goal for the Flyers with Michal Neuvirth giving up six goals on 22 shots.

Brock Nelson paced the Islanders offense with a pair of goals with Leo Komorov, Anthony Beauvillier, Adam Pelich and Anders Lee also lighting the lamp. Robin Lehner picked up the win for New York with a 22 save effort.

The Anaheim Ducks have had their share of problems at both ends of the ice and those issues have hurt the team during a five game slide. Anaheim comes in off of a 4-3 OT loss to San Jose where Pontus Aberg scored twice and Josh Manson also lit the lamp. John Gibson recorded 45 saves for the Ducks to salvage a point.

Over is 4-0 in Flyers last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and Flyers are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. Western Conference and over is 4-0-1 in Flyers last 5 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game. Ducks are 0-5 in their last 5 overall and Ducks are 8-0 in their last 8 vs. Metropolitan and under is 4-0 in Ducks last 4 Tuesday games. Over is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings in Anaheim and Flyers are 2-12 in the last 14 meetings and over is 6-1-2 in the last 9 meetings.

Nothing to like about this one with both teams slumping early on. I do want some defensive struggles here because I favor the over…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
