The Ducks look to continue their winning ways as they host the Penguins on Sunday who have dropped six of 10 and sit in fourth in the Metro division.
The Pittsburgh Penguins look to get back in the win column after a recent speed bump dropped them into fourth place in their division and into a wild card spot in the Eastern Conference but a date with the Ducks could be the remedy the Pens need. Pittsburgh has been disappointing in the offensive zone this season as all three of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Phil Kessel have struggled to some degree and until they can right the ship and start producing this team will be seen as massive underachievers. The Pens have a 6-5-1 record on the road this season while the Anaheim Ducks are 7-4-4 at home but continue to have the league's worst offense with only 53 goals scored this season, one fewer than the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Ducks continue to struggle as they are two games under the .500 mark and while they have played much better of late they still need to find a way to generate more offense as it has been their downfall this year and for no explanation whatsoever. Anaheim was the early favourite to win the Cup this season but their slow start has certainly changed a lot of minds outside of California and unless they can turn it around in a hurry they are going to struggle to make the postseason. Anaheim has been better at home than on the road and Frederik Andersen has actually been pretty good all year but in this spot against a team who has the potential to score in bunches I don't see the Ducks having enough to keep pace.
