It was a dominant peformance for the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night and they did what you would expect a really good hockey club to do against a really bad one. They asserted themselves early and often against a poor Buffalo Sabres club and Ryan Getzlaf was right at the center of it. The big forward recorded a hat trick in the opening 20 minutes as the Ducks put up a six spot on the Sabres for the second time this month. Dustin Penner had four points on the night and Frederik Andersen continued his strong play in the 6-2 win. This team is undefeated at home and playing some of the best hockey in the league right now. They'll get the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night who are coming off a beat down at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night. Roberto Luongo was pulled in the second period after allowing four goals on 18 shots and the Canucks fell by a final of 5-1. Dan Hamhuis was the only Canuck who was able to solve Jonathan Quick all night and now they've got to get right back at it against a physical Ducks club. This Anaheim team really can impose their will on their oponent and they've got the edge in this one playing at home and having an extra day of rest. Look for them to wear the Canucks down as this game goes on.
