The Ducks look to get back in the win column after a home ice loss to the Blackhawks over the weekend as they welcome the Canucks to town.
The Vancouver Canucks look to shake off a loss of their own over the weekend as they head into Anaheim to do battle with the Ducks in what should be a pretty entertaining match up between two Pacific division rivals. Vancouver had started the season quite strongly but have since cooled off and will need to get back in the win column here as a confidence booster moving forward. The Canucks are built on their youth but obviously still have a ton of experience with Alex Burrows and the Sedin's up front and while they will likely move on soon they are clearly the go to's for offense and leadership. Ryan Miller will get the nod as he will go up against Frederik Andersen.
The Ducks look to get back in the win column after an overtime loss to the Blackhawks dropped them to 3-4-3 in their last 10 games but with a Vancouver team on tap who are also in desperate need a victory the Ducks know it won't come easy. Ryan Miller has been solid since signing with the Canucks two years ago and for all of the criticism he receives it should be noted he remains one of the more underrated net minders in the game and in this one he will need to be sharp as he matches up with Frederik Andersen who has been great despite not having a ton of offensive support. This game will come down to overall talent and while the Canucks have some guys who can score I do think the Ducks are the better group overall and being at home pushes them over the edge.
