The Las Vegas Golden Knights look to continue their dominance over the Anaheim Ducks as the two sides meet up at the Honda Center on Friday.

The Vegas Golden Knights look to continue their ascent up the Pacific division standings as they face off against one of the league’s worst teams in Anaheim on Friday evening. The Knights made a huge splash at the trade deadline this week as they added Mark Stone from the Ottawa Senators and sent their offensive depth into a brand new level that we have yet to see from them in their young franchise’s existence. The move makes Vegas a very good shot at getting back to the Cup final this season and a Friday night trip to Anaheim should be a formality as the Ducks are in the mix for the top draft pick in the offseason and have seemingly given up on the season. Vegas is expected to send Marc-Andre Fleury to the crease here as he is likely to face off with John Gibson who is on track to make his return to the lineup.

The Ducks meanwhile have had a season to forget and will play out the string on their disappointing campaign looking to embrace the spoiler role down the stretch, and that includes a Friday night home stint against the Knights. Anaheim is 2-9 in their last 11 home games and are 1-7 in their last 8 games against the Pacific division and they have struggled mightily against the Golden Knights as they are just 1-6 in their last 7 meetings and don’t look great to change that trend in this spot. Anaheim is 1-4 in their last 5 games as a home underdog and 7-20 in their last 27 games as an underdog overall and the Under has hit in 5 straight meetings between these two teams.

The Knights are 2-5 in their last 5 Friday games and 2-6 in their last 8 overall while the Ducks are 5-24 in their last 29 overall and 1-7 in their last 8 against the Pacific. The Knights need a bounce back effort and a road meeting with the Ducks is a great place to start.
