The Winnipeg Jets look to continue their success against the Pacific division as they head into Anaheim to face off against a Ducks side that is 5-1 in their last six home games.
The Jets are coming off a huge win over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night and will look for another as they take on a Ducks side that is starting to heat up and has won 12 of their last 15 games against Winnipeg. The Jets have thrashed teams from the Pacific division with a 16-5 mark in their last 21 games and while they have had issues on the road and even more against a good home team the Jets haven’t missed a beat since losing Mark Schiefele and are looking like a very tough team in the West. Winnipeg is expected to send Connor Hellebuyck to the crease as he continues his breakout season as he will face off against John Gibson who is starting to move into his own despite an inconsistent start to the season.
The Ducks meanwhile will look to snap out of their losing ways against the Central division as they are just 2-9 in their last 11 games and face a tough Jets side who hasn’t been great on the road but is coming off a nice win in San Jose and should be riddled with confidence here. Anaheim got off to a slow start this season but are hitting their stride just before the all-star break and they should continue that ascent into the second half of the season as they are looking like a playoff contender in the Pacific at the moment. The Ducks are 6-2 in their last eight games at home against the Jets and have plenty of trends working in their favour here that resides both with their own and with Winnipeg.
The Jets are 5-11 in their last 16 road games and 25-10 in their last 35 against the West while the Ducks are 6-14 in their last 20 against a team with a winning record and have hit the under in their last five against the Central. Winnipeg got a big win on Tuesday and they are getting a great value here in a game they are more than capable of winning.
