The Line: Arizona Coyotes +110 / Calgary Flames -130 --- Over/Under: 5.5
Sunday NHL action pits the Arizona Coyotes against the Calgary Flames.
The Calgary Flames look to remain hot after a 2-0 defeat at Vegas on Friday halted a three game winning streak. After scoring 17 goals in three wins the Flames came up empty with David Rittich giving up two goals on 28 shots to absorb the loss.
Alex Tuch scored in the second for a 1-0 Vegas lead with Colin Miller doubling the advantage with his tally at 2:34 of the third. Tuch also added an assist for the Golden Knights who saw Marc-Andre Fleury stop 29 shots to get the win.
The Arizona Coyotes have been in a bit of a funk the past several weeks with losses in seven of nine capped off by 5-1 defeat to visiting Colorado on Friday. The Coyotes received a third period power play goal from Dylan Strome while Antti Raanta gave up five goals on 39 shots.
JT Compher paced the Colorado offense with a pair of goals with Mikko Rantanen, Tyson Barrie and Gabriel Landeskog also finding the back of the net. Nathan MacKinnon logged a pair of helpers for the Avalanche to make a winner of Phillip Grubauer and his 37 saves.
Under is 3-0-1 in Flames last 4 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game and under is 4-0 in Flames last 4 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and under is 10-1 in Flames last 11 road games. Under is 5-0 in Coyotes last 5 vs. Pacific and under is 10-1 in Coyotes last 11 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and under is 7-1 in Coyotes last 8 following a loss of 3 or more goals. Flames are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Arizona and over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Arizona and Flames are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings.
The Flames have been the more consistent squad so I’m banking on them to do enough at both ends of the ice to get the two points…
