The Blackhawks look to build on their impressive win against the Avalanche on Tuesday as they head into the desert to battle the Coyotes in Glendale.
The Chicago Blackhawks are the class of the Western Conference at the moment as the reigning champs are looking as dangerous as ever despite an offseason overhaul that saw some big pieces find new homes. The Hawks are led up front by Patrick Kane who is far and away the favourite for the Hart at the moment as the league MVP as he has been on a tear this season and should easily eclipse the 100 point mark and lead his team to the top seed in the Central and maybe even a President’s Trophy. The Hawks are 13-11-3 on the road though and much of their damage has come at home so there is some positive to be taken here for the Coyotes who are battling in the Pacific and are 13-10-3 at home this season.
The Coyotes were one of the league’s biggest surprises after a few months and while they could very well jump into the Western Conference playoffs with a nice stretch to close the season they have already exceeded expectations by most people’s accord. Arizona has been stockpiling some young prospects and they have come to fruition earlier than most expected and with Max Domi and Anthony Duclair enjoying strong rookie campaigns it is clear they are going to be a good team for many years to come. As for tonight, the home side isn’t getting a fair shake but I don’t trust them to get the win. Instead, I like the total as there should be some goals scored as each team is due for at least a pair and combined I like it to go over.
