The Coyotes look to play spoiler on home ice as they welcome the Blackhawks to town who are in the midst of a heated battle for playoff positioning in the Central division.
The Blackhawks head into the desert on Thursday night looking to chase down the Blues for second spot in the Central and distance themselves from the wild card pack in the process and a trip to play Arizona is a treat for them. Chicago has been a very consistent team all season long and look just as dangerous as ever even though they re without Patrick Kane and could be until the playoffs and beyond but the depth of this group will have to shine through and they have the horses to stay competitive. Corey Crawford will get the call in goal as he will go up against Mike Smith who returns to the crease for the Coyotes.
Arizona has had a season to forget but they have been playing much better of late and can continue to thrive in that spoiler role tonight and for the remainder of the regular season. Arizona has an abysmal -81 goal differential and a paltry 10 wins on home ice and against a team like Chicago who is desperate need of a win I don't see that number getting any better tonight. However, the Kane factor does come into play and with Arizona being the league's second worst offense I see this one coming in under the ttoal comfortably even if all of the goals do come from Chicago.
