The Rangers look to extend their winning streak to five games with a win on the road in Arizona on Saturday while the Coyotes look to win their second straight.
The New York Rangers continue to prove they are among the league's elite with each passing game and with a four game winning streak on the line they head into the desert looking for a fifth. The Blue Shirts sit in top spot in the Metro division and are five points back of the Canadiens for top spot in the Eastern Conference and while they are coming off a game last night and playing in a back to back they should be in good shape against the Coyotes. Antii Raanta, who is 2-0 this season with just one goal allowed, will get the start as he will go up against Mike Smith.
The Coyotes have had a pretty decent start to the season despite cooling off of late but currently sit in fourth place in the Pacific division. Arizona was projected to finish at or near the bottom of the standings and while there is a ton of hockey left to be played and that could still fabricate they look much better than expected and could be a thorn in the side of many teams this season. The Coyotes do catch the Rangers in a back to back but with the way Raanta has been playing so far I don't think it matters as New York shouldn't have any trouble getting yet another win tonight.
