The Arizona Coyotes look to continue their recent success against the Eastern Conference as they head into Boston to face off against the Bruins on Thursday night.
The Coyotes head into Boston looking to turn their season around as they take on a Bruins side that is playing some of their best hockey of the season as they have won six of their last eight games and are looking like the contender people anticipated at the start of the year. Arizona has gotten off to a very slow start and things don’t appear to be getting any better, and while they do have some nice young pieces in place in hopes of a quick turnaround they still have way too many holes in their roster and will likely send some big trade chips packing throughout the season if things continue to decline. Antii Raanta is expected to return to the Coyotes lineup and get the start as he will face off against Tuukka Rask who is starting to look like his old self after a sluggish start to the year.
The Bruins meanwhile have won 13 of their last 19 games against Pacific division foes and will look to keep that trend going here as the B’s have won 11 straight games against the Coyotes and are heavy favourites to do so again here. The Bruins have a decent lineup in the offensive zone but could afford a bit more depth behind their top six and they still have some question marks on the blue line but in a wide open Atlantic division the Bruins are more than capable of going on a run and not only getting back into the playoffs but potentially deep into the Eastern Conference finals.
The Coyotes are 18-59 in their last 77 road games and have played to the under in 14 of their last 16 while the Bruins are 19-9 in their last 28 against the West and have played under in five of their last seven against the Pacific. Rask is playing very well right now and with this one not having a ton of value I think the under is the best play.
