The Chicago Blackhawks visit the Boston Bruins in a Tuesday NHL matchup.

The surging Chicago Blackhawks ran their winning streak to seven games after downing visiting Detroit 5-2 on Sunday. Detroit received markers from Christoffer Ehn and Gustav Nyquist with Jonathan Bernier getting the loss with four goals allowed on 35 shots.

Dominik Kahun paced Chicago with a pair markers with Dylan Strome, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews all finding the scoring column. Strome assisted twice and Alex Debrincat posted three helpers for the Blackhawks who received 43 saves from Cam Ward.

The Boston Bruins are heating up with wins in four of five after squeezing by visiting Colorado 2-1 in overtime on Sunday. Nathan MacKinnon gave Colorado a 1-0 lead with 33 seconds remaining in the first. Semyon Varlamov was charged with the loss for the Avalanche with both goals allowed on 35 shots.

John Moore scored in the second for Boston and Brad Marchand lit the lamp at 4:03 of overtime. Marchand also had an assist for the Bruins who received 35 saves from Jaroslav Halak.

Blackhawks are 7-0 in their last 7 overall and Blackhawks are 5-0 in their last 5 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and Blackhawks are 6-0 in their last 6 games following a win.

Bruins are 5-1 in their last 6 vs. Central and Bruins are 9-2 in their last 11 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game and Bruins are 4-1 in their last 5 overall.

Under is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings.

Both teams are playing well but I’d take the better odds or do nothing…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
